☕ The Story Behind the Cup

Hi, I'm Greg.

Coffee lover. Perpetually overwhelmed at the menu board.
And the person who built BrewMood so you don't have to feel that way too.

I built BrewMood because I love coffee — I just couldn't always find the words to order it. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Through Nagoh Creative, I help local businesses grow with modern web design and AI-powered software tools — BrewMood being one of them.

😅 The Menu Was My Nemesis

I genuinely love coffee. The warmth, the ritual, the way a great cup can turn a slow morning into something that feels like it matters. But for years, walking up to a coffee counter felt like walking into an exam I hadn't studied for.

Macchiato or cortado? Flat white or latte? Single origin or house blend? Oat, almond, or whole?

The board is long. The line is growing behind you. The barista is waiting. And somewhere between "ristretto" and "pour-over," you quietly panic and order "just a medium coffee, please" — for the fourteenth time.

Sound familiar? You're not alone. Coffee culture is rich and wonderful, but it can also feel wildly exclusive to anyone who didn't grow up speaking its language.

😬 The Real Problem Wasn't the Menu

Honestly? The menu I could Google. The real problem was the fear. Fear of looking foolish. Fear of slowing down the line. Fear of mispronouncing something. Fear that the person behind the counter — or worse, behind me in line — would quietly judge the question I was about to ask.

  • What if I want to try something new, but I don't know how to describe what I'm in the mood for?
  • What if I'm ordering ahead on an app and there's no helpful barista to guide me?
  • What if I just don't want to admit — out loud, to a stranger — that I have no idea what half the menu means?

The baristas I've encountered over the years have been incredible. Patient, knowledgeable, genuinely passionate. When I've worked up the courage to say "I don't really know what I want — can you help?" they've led me to some of my favorite drinks. But not everyone has that courage in the moment. And not every moment has a barista.

✝️ On Fear — and Why You Shouldn't

"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10 — ESV
"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
2 Timothy 1:7 — ESV
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9 — ESV

Now, I know these verses speak to mountains far bigger than a coffee menu. But the spirit behind them? That's real for the small stuff too. Life is too short — and coffee is too good — to let fear keep you from trying something wonderful.

🌱 The Blessing of Trying Something New

"In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good."
Ecclesiastes 11:6 — ESV
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."
James 1:17 — ESV

Every great coffee I've discovered started with one small act of courage — choosing to try something I'd never heard of. You can't know what you'll love until you give it a chance. And sometimes, the thing you were most afraid to order becomes your new favorite.

☕ That's Why I Built BrewMood

BrewMood is the barista you can talk to before you get to the counter — or instead of having to. Tell it how you're feeling, what you've liked before, whether you want something warm or cold, bold or gentle, familiar or adventurous. It'll meet you exactly where you are and point you toward something you'll actually love.

No judgment. No jargon. No pressure. Just your next great cup of coffee — and maybe a little courage to try something new.
